Turning the Wheel is honored to be included in the Orcas Island Community Foundation grant catalog for GiveOrcas! The TTW team is excited to return for the third year in a row bringing our unique model of expressive arts experiences that build participants' confidence in their own and each other's creativity. Our programs utilize play, movement, theater, song, rhythm, art and writing to build the life skills of collaboration, connection, self-esteem, personal agency, leadership, and accountability. Our week-long residency will culminate with performances created by the students we will be working with. This fall we will be working with students at:

-Funhouse Commons
-Orcas Island Elementary School
-Salmonberry School

Your donation will support the return of our amazing team of facilitators to Orcas Island. In addition to visiting schools, creating at least 3 student performances, engaging with all ages in a community Playshop, we will hold a Teacher Workshop at Orcas Island Elementary School. This will expand our impact by supporting teachers in bringing movement and creative expression into the daily lives of their students. This will boost their social/emotional resilience and deepen their connections to one another and their teachers.
