TTW has the ability to bring out the beauty and creativity in all beings and places. ~Jade
TTW Missoula is passionately committed to building vibrant, healthy communities through creative expression, and to creating environments for people of all ages and abilities to express themselves and connect more deeply with each other.
Since 2001, TTW Missoula has been enlivening schools, community events, and organizations through community play and performances.
Our large community performances have brought together hundreds of people from all parts of our community to create beautiful collaborative works of performance art.
JOINING HANDS PRENUPTIAL GATHERINGS
TTW Missoula will enliven and enrich the gathering for the marrying couple and their family.
The activities we share come from Turning the Wheel’s unique movement and body-based modality that draws on dance, improvisational theater, communication theory and body based therapies. We work with a live, multi-instrumentalist musician, who makes music as we lead the group through a series of activities that are both poignant and playful.
“Having worked with Turning the Wheel for years now I still find myself in wonder how each and every activity breathes life into any environment it is experienced in. TTW has the ability to bring out the beauty and creativity in all beings and places.” ~Jade

Turning the Wheel Missoula, in collaboration with our National organization and facilitators trained in the TTW modality from around the country, have produced four community performances in Missoula. These are “Confetti”, “Stringmaker”, “Nearly Invisible” and “I Knew That Once.”
Each multi media performance has been a powerful connecting and healing force for the performers and a delight for the audience. A performer in our most recent production said: “It’s only been three rehearsals for me, but already I feel in the dance and the community this powerful cleansing and healing vibe. Three times and I’ve begun thinking differently about what my body language is capable of saying.”

Lizzi Juda, Missoula Founder, Director & Facilitator
Lizzi brought the work of Turning the Wheel to Missoula in 2001. Lizzi has over 20 years of experience teaching improvisational movement classes and expressive arts groups in Missoula. She has attended and led numerous workshops with Turning the Wheel Founder Alana Shaw, and is certified as an expert facilitator in the TTW modality. She has also produced and performed in several community performances, both locally and nationally, for TTW. In 1992, Lizzi founded Wild Ground Learning Center, a healing and creative arts center that continues to serve Missoula as an important meeting place. She is a founder of Howell Street Commons, an urban eco-village on the West Side of Missoula. A mother, massage therapist, and musician, Lizzi is passionate about providing opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to play, move, and connect with their creative genius.
Lulu Steinberg, Missoula Director, Facilitator
When Lulu attended a Turning the Wheel Romp with her family, she felt it was the culmination of all the work she loves to do.
She has been working with people in the expressive arts for 15 years, encouraging self awareness, creativity and literacy through body based therapies and practices, fine arts and dance.
Lulu holds a Masters in Education from Loyola University, the Association Montessori Internationale teacher certification, is a trained massage therapist and is a Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Teacher. She is certified as an expert facilitator in the TTW modality, and helped to produce and performed in the TTW production of “I Knew That Once,” both locally and nationally.
Lulu continues to explore ways to mine creativity, intuition and play; guiding herself and others toward the wisdom of the body.
She dreams that every “stand around eat & talky” party would become a feast of theatre improv & dadaist art games, ping pong, live music and dance. Here’s to the revolution!
